About
STEP 1
Download the ‘Samsung Food’ app from the App Store or pick a recipe/s from a source you choose. This just has to be something easy to use.
Step 2
On the ‘Samsung Food’ app, save the recipes to the saves list and put all of the ingredients you need into the shopping list. Once you have done this, go through and tick off anything you already have.
Step 3
As you are shopping tick off everything you have bought, make sure your list is set to aisle so it bunches everything together that will be in the same area in the supermarket.
STEP 4
Once you are home, un click all of the shopping list items, and change the category to ‘recipe’ This will allow you to see everything you need for that recipe and you can put it all together when you are ready to cook it. It saves time and means you don’t have to put everything away and then it get back out again.
step 5
I like to look for the recipe that takes the most amount of time and do that one first then I can be cooking others whilst that is cooking. If you don’t like cooking, pick a recipe that has less than 5 steps, it can make it more appealing to do.
step 6
Once you have made the recipe/s, get your Tupperware or throw away containers and dish out your recipe. I usually add a carb, if it doesn’t already have 1 in and some vegetables. I always pick the bags of cut up vegetables. If you open the top a tiny bit and put them in the microwave for 4 minutes, it steams them really well.
You then have a protein source, a carb source and a vegetables - a perfect balance.
step 7
Allow to cool, put the lid on, write on the date it was made (I often forget when I made it).
This process has changed my approach to meal prep, it seems it would take a long time, but it really doesn’t if you follow this plan.
